BEN SHAW

Exercise Physiologist

Ben works within the Aged Care population treating musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological conditions with a high priority in assisting clients in improving their physical independence.

Ben has experience ranging from Professional and Olympic sports performance and rehabilitation to restoring function and independence in the elderly population including palliative care.

He has an interest and clinical experience in the multifactorial experience and treatment of pain, treatment and management of post-operative care and musculoskeletal conditions, and patient education and guidance for independent management of conditions.

Ben was inspired to become a therapist through his Physiotherapist mother and his personal experience with Chronic Lower Back Pain for over a decade with no solutions. This led him to pursue understanding the underlying mechanisms and misconceptions of pain and rehabilitation and subsequently successfully treat himself. He now aims to assist others on this same journey.

When he isn’t working, Ben relaxes at home by gaming. He also enjoys going camping in nature away from technology.

Ben is a Graduate of the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor of Exercise Science.

Ben is based in the Sunshine Coast Region, supporting clients in Buderim, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Kawana, Caloundra, and surrounding areas.
