Paediatric Occupational Therapy Lead
Kasey works with infants, children and adolescents (0 – 18) with a wide range of disabilities. She adopts a family-centred approach to work collaboratively with children and their families, and enjoys working within a child’s natural environments (home, kindy or school, parks and playgrounds) to optomise functional outcomes and participation.
Kasey has a broad skillset that allows her to confidently support children with all manner of disabilities; however, she has extensive experience and a passion for working with children with high physical support needs (i.e. children with cerebral palsy, brain injuries, spinal injuries or spina bifida, various rare genetic disabilities) and children with complex or multiple disabilities.
Kasey graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from Deakin University in 2006. She has spent 17 years working in community-based OT roles in not-for-profits and then private practice, to support infants, children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of disabilities.
Kasey is in her “cozy hobby” era, and enjoys spending her free time reading, playing video games (she is a Mario Kart tragic), building diabolically expensive lego kits and taking photos around Brisbane. She also enjoys brunching with family and friends, watching AFL matches with her husband and spending as much time as humanly possible with her labrador retriever, Scout.
Kasey is based on the southside of Brisbane, and accepts referrals in Brisbane South and Brisbane West. She also sees clients at both our Coorparoo and Graceville clinics.
